Been talking with a few members of The 3 Step System To Land your Dream Job Doing Something You Love (The 3 Step System for short) recently and questions about entrepreneurism keep coming up.
It made me wonder what’ s the difference between a job hunter and an entrepreneur. Are they really just the same thing?
If you think about it, job hunters are looking for just one good customer and entrepreneurs are looking for many good customers. But I’m not sure that there is much difference other than that.
I think if job seekers approach it like an entrepreneur, then they will be the better for it.
If you have been following any of my coaching you will notice that I tend to treat both in a very similar way. All the ingredients used in entrepreneurship are required in job hunting, it’s just the quantities that vary.
Look out for a new course on online entrepreneurship coming soon.
Absolutely right – I go to breakfast meetings and effectively I’m promoting myself. I think that the whole ethos of viewing what you do in an entrepreneurial spirit not only alters perspective in terms of how you pursue the next job opportunity – but it also creates a sense of self worth – without it (as I know you would say from your course Martin!) you are just another commodity – not the exciting package of gifts and talents that you really are.
